  • The guy on the right rolled the clay into balls. The guy in the hole took the ball and placed it in the mould and scraped off excess clay then inverted it and removed the mould.

  • The moulded bricks were stacked in rows on bamboo

  • When the stacking bamboo was full it was carried to the drying area

  • The bricks were turned on edge and layer out to dry.

  • The dry bricks were then fired in this kiln. (we did not see this process in action.
